Biodiversity of Singapore is a curated scientific reference documenting the island’s rich variety of life. Built from museum collections, fieldwork and published literature, it brings together records of plants, animals, fungi and other organisms found in Singapore. Entries draw on both preserved, vouchered specimens and photographic observations, connecting scientific data with images of local biodiversity.

Visitors can explore the collection through a species search, advanced search and taxonomy browser, or use filters for residency, conservation status, habitat, taxonomic status and record type. The site covers groups ranging from birds, insects and mammals to flowering plants, fungi, corals and bacteria. It also provides identification tools and guidance on how to use the resource, supporting discovery and research into Singapore’s natural heritage.

The reference includes thousands of valid and pending species, specimen records and digital images, alongside information on native and critically endangered species. Biodiversity of Singapore serves researchers, educators, nature enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning about the organisms that share the island.
