About Biodiversity Preservation Center
Biodiversity Preservation Centre is the leading NGO in Southern Nigeria dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity. With a focus on both in-situ and ex-situ conservation, our center has been actively working towards preserving the rich natural resources of Nigeria since 1996, when it was established in Calabar Cross River State. As the human population continues to grow, habitat conversion becomes an increasing concern.
Despite the economic and social challenges faced in Nigeria, BPC strives to raise awareness and provide opportunities for people to understand and appreciate nature and its biological resources. Our vision is to promote a safe and healthy world through sustainable biodiversity conservation. At Biodiversity Preservation Centre, our mission is to build a sustainable future through nature conservation and education in Nigeria.
Our aim is to bring people of all gender, age, and religion closer to nature, using our wildlife sanctuary as a platform to spread awareness about biodiversity conservation in Akwa Ibom State and across the country.
