Biofix is a brand based in Bogotá that specializes in providing nature-based solutions for the management of CO2 emissions to businesses of all sizes in Colombia. With the implementation of climate financing instruments such as the carbon tax and the non-causation mechanism, Biofix has become a facilitator in helping these companies mitigate their carbon footprint. Since its inception in 2018, Biofix has developed large-scale conservation projects structured under the REDD+ methodology (Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).

These projects, carried out in collaboration with indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities, have been widely recognized in Latin America for their contribution to climate change mitigation and improvement of the quality of life for ethnically diverse families. The projects focus on respecting the autonomy of these communities in governing their territories and monitoring forest protection and endangered flora and fauna species. Currently, Biofix works in partnership with 25 ethnic communities, including 9 community councils and 16 indigenous territories, covering various departments in Colombia.

Together, they conserve over 1. 3 million hectares of tropical forests and have contributed to the capture of more than 17 million tons of CO2
