BIOFUND Moz is a non-profit private institution in Mozambique that plays a vital role in conserving the country's rich biodiversity. As a Conservation Trust Fund, BIOFUND mobilizes, allocates, and manages financial resources exclusively for the benefit of biodiversity conservation in Mozambique. Working in alignment with the Conservation Finance Alliance, BIOFUND supports the conservation of terrestrial, coastal, aquatic, and marine biodiversity, as well as the sustainable use of natural resources.

Its mission is to consolidate the national system of conservation areas and promote the sustainable utilization and appreciation of Mozambique's biodiversity. With Mozambique's abundance of natural resources, including 14 significant ecological regions, BIOFUND actively supports the National Network of Conservation Areas, encompassing approximately 26% of the country's territory. Through its various projects and managed funds, BIOFUND aims to ensure professionalism, efficiency, transparency, and inclusion in its operations.
