Biological Nurturing is a brand founded by Dr Suzanne Colson and co-founder of La Leche League, France. Dr Colson, a retired midwife and honorary reader at Canterbury Christ Church University, is not only a mother of three breastfed children but also brings over 40 years of clinical experience supporting mothers to the brand. Her personal journey of extended breastfeeding for 10 years inspired her to develop the Biological Nurturing approach, which she researched for her PhD in 2006.

Dr Colson's collaboration with Dr Michel Odent provided valuable insight into the impact of environmental conditions on maternal instinctual behaviors. The brand offers various products and services, including a 6-day Biological Nurturing certification workshop taught by Dr Colson and Joelle Colson, who is a qualified nurse and La Leche League Leader. They both have extensive personal experience with breastfeeding and are passionate about promoting it.

Biological Nurturing certification has been obtained by over 150 health professionals since 2018. The brand also disseminates Biological Nurturing research through conferences, workshops, and other events.
