Biopolitics International Organisation

The Biopolitics International Organisation (B.I.O.) is an environmental organisation founded in 1985 to raise awareness of environmental challenges and promote effective action to protect the Earth for future generations. Its mission is to inspire urgent, coordinated efforts against climate change and to safeguard “bios”—all life on the planet. B.I.O. works through education, outreach, international cooperation and public engagement, connecting people and organisations around environmental issues.

Its educational initiatives include a free e-learning programme with participants from 139 countries, an e-library, youth Bios Olympiads and Bios Schools. The organisation also contributes to EU-funded environmental projects, with topics including urban electromobility and biotourism. Its publications and information resources include Bionews, proceedings, resolutions, textbooks and media coverage. B.I.O. organises campaigns, prizes, environmental events, conferences and symposia focused on areas such as bio-policy, diplomacy, culture, education, economics, agriculture, tourism and water. Through these activities, the organisation aims to encourage environmental awareness, share ideas and support practical progress toward sustainable development.
