BIOTAN GROUP LIMITED is a brand dedicated to organic and ethical practices in the processing and export of Organic Cashew Nuts. As a start-up company in Tanzania, BIOTAN works closely with small holder farmers to source the finest quality organic cashew nuts for their processing facility. While Tanzania is a major producer of cashew nuts, a significant portion of the value chain is controlled by foreign companies.

In response to this challenge, BIOTAN has established a cashew nut processing factory with a capacity of 2,000 tons per year, creating over 350 jobs and providing sustainable income for more than 950 farmers. The company's mission is to process the cashew nuts locally, ensuring the unique taste and flavor of Tanzanian cashews are preserved. Additionally, BIOTAN offers training and assistance to farmers to maintain consistent quality and volumes while adapting to climate change.
