Birara Genet is a board-led organization based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, that aims to empower under-represented community members, particularly those from low socio-economic backgrounds, through targeted vocational skills training. Our primary goal is to ensure that our participants secure and maintain jobs that provide a steady income.

To achieve this, we connect our participants with employers they may not be able to access on their own. We provide them with the skills they need for their respective roles based on direct input from hiring employers. Additionally, we offer continuous access to a range of professional development resources to help them grow in their roles. We also financially sponsor their personal and professional development training.

Our programs are designed to address the problem of limited educational backgrounds and income among vulnerable community members. We understand the importance of supplementing technical training with continuous learning opportunities to secure and sustain jobs.
