About Birch State Park
Friends of Birch State Park is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, conserving, enhancing, and promoting Hugh Taylor Birch State Park through community support. The organization works with its Board of Directors, donors, foundations, members, and volunteers to help “Bring Birch Back” and support improvements to the park. Its accomplishments include Birch Buddies, Long Lake Meditation Garden, and the Terramar Visitor’s Center.
Friends of Birch State Park offers ways for visitors to explore and engage with the park, including a scavenger hunt, programs and tours, water taxi experiences, rentals, and pavilion and group camping information. The organization also hosts events such as Walk with Friends, Birdies for Birch, Design & Unwind, and Camp Birch Family Fun Day.
Community members can support its work through memberships, donations, an Amazon wishlist, or by purchasing a bench or stone. Volunteer opportunities, VIP tours, annual access passes, and information about future improvements are also available.
