Birchy's Fishing Tours

Birchy’s Fishing Tours offers guided tagalong fishing adventures through the remote landscapes of East Kimberley, on Balanggarra Country. The tours take guests off the beaten track to explore rivers, floodplains and gorges known for freshwater fishing, including opportunities to catch barramundi. The experience combines time on the water with an overnight stay in a fully catered camp beneath the stars, where guests can cook their catch and share stories around the campfire.

Alongside fishing, Birchy’s tours include cultural experiences that introduce visitors to the region’s ancient rock art, including Gwion paintings, as well as its dramatic gorges and waterfalls. The business also promotes wet-season tours and hunting on country, with experiences shaped by the landscapes and traditions of the Kimberley. Balanggarra means “One mob together for country,” reflecting the deep connection between local people and the land. Birchy’s Fishing Tours invites visitors to discover this distinctive part of Australia through an outdoor adventure centred on fishing, camping and exploration.
