Birdhaus of Interlaken

Birdhaus of Interlaken is a creative, community-minded business centered on colorful, hand-painted birdhouses and positive social change. Founded by Liv Anton as a summer 2016 mitzvah project, the initiative grew from selling painted birdhouses to help replace a cemetery fence and beautify its grounds. Liv, identified on the site as the company’s 13-year-old CEO, paints and sells giftable birdhouses and coordinating accessories, and hosts art therapy and painting events. The business also takes part in pop-up sales, community projects, and artist collaborations, inviting people to support local causes through its products and events.

Profits are donated to local organizations and charities selected by Liv after she visits and assesses their needs. Past recipients include Chesed Shel Ames, which received $5,000, matched by a further $5,000, and Mary’s Place by the Sea, a respite organization for women with cancer, which received a $10,000 donation. Birdhaus of Interlaken describes its mission as bringing communities together and encouraging positive change. Its birdhouses ship throughout the United States and internationally.
