Birding Notebook is an online community for people who enjoy observing birds and sharing their sightings. The platform brings together birders’ expedition records, locations and photographs, helping users explore observations from around the world. Visitors can browse and search sightings, discover places through a map, and view a gallery of birding photos. Featured records highlight species seen at destinations such as Tamri and Oued Massa in Morocco, as well as locations in France and Svalbard.

Members can create a profile, post expeditions and contribute sightings from places they visit. Birding Notebook also adds a game-like element to participation: users begin as an egg and earn points by posting expeditions, progressing to higher levels. Those who regularly share observations from one location may become a place expert. For field use, the service offers a free Android application, allowing registered users to share bird sightings while out birding. With multilingual language options and tools for discovering observations, places and images, Birding Notebook is designed to make recording and exploring bird sightings a shared experience.
