Chicago Bird Collision Monitors | Villa Park IL

Chicago Bird Collision Monitors (CBCM) is a volunteer conservation project dedicated to protecting migratory birds through rescue, advocacy, and outreach. Every year, an estimated one billion birds are killed or injured in North America due to window collisions, and CBCM is committed to reducing this number in the downtown Chicago area. Their dedicated teams work in the early morning hours to recover injured birds and document fatalities caused by confusing lights and glass building designs.

CBCM promotes bird-safe lighting and building practices and collaborates with architects, planners, and the public to prevent bird collisions. They also offer educational programs and consultation services to raise awareness about the threats to urban birds and provide best practices for bird-safe structures. By supporting CBCM, you can contribute to the protection and recovery of migratory birds and help preserve the beauty and diversity of our feathered friends.

Be sure to follow them on Facebook for the latest news and events. Together, we can make a difference for the birds
