Birdseed Studios is a dedicated collective of lifelong gamers based in Houston, Texas, passionate about creating engaging tabletop role-playing experiences. Founded by a small group of friends who began gaming in the 1980s, the studio aims to innovate the RPG landscape through its flagship projects, SAGE: Legend and In Nomine Mortis. With decades of gaming expertise, the team has encountered a variety of systems, from classic Dungeons and Dragons editions to modern board games, shaping their perspective on what role-playing games can be.
Birdseed Studios values the deep connections fostered through shared gaming experiences and strives to offer alternatives to modern gaming trends, which they find overly simplistic or risk-averse. Their approach emphasizes meaningful character investment and a balance of challenge and reward, aiming to revive the sense of heroism in gameplay. Birdseed Studios invites players to join their journey as they redefine the RPG experience, engaging in playtesting and upcoming crowdfunding efforts to bring their innovative visions to life
