Birmingham Botanical Gardens is the green heart of Birmingham, offering a uniquely biodiverse natural environment. As one of the UK’s most significant historic Botanic Gardens, it has remained intact since 1829. With over 7000 plants to explore in its 4 Victorian Glasshouses and exciting outdoor Gardens, including two Alpine Gardens, the Japanese Garden showcasing the National Bonsai Collection, and a rolling lawn overlooking an authentic bandstand and Aviaries, there is something for everyone.

Visitors can make a day of it, with a traditional tearoom, seasonal garden walks, and a variety of fun events throughout the year. However, be aware that some areas of the gravel and pathways have been affected by heavy rainfall. Birmingham Botanical Gardens is also transitioning to a cashless site for sustainability and to enhance the overall visitor experience.
