The brand was founded by Julie Ann Mohan, a certified nurse midwife with a master’s degree in nursing and a certified prenatal and postnatal fitness instructor. Based in Oakland County, Michigan, Julie brings more than twenty years of experience supporting women through pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum care. Her work draws on the potential benefits of movement, breathing, position changes, gravity, and strength in the upper body, core, glutes, and legs during labor. Birthing Athletes offers appointments for people seeking practical preparation and personalized guidance through pregnancy and early parenthood.
