Bismarck Diocese

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bismarck serves Catholic communities across western North Dakota, including the Williston, Dickinson, Minot, and Bismarck areas. Its mission is to share the teachings of Jesus Christ and support people in living their faith. The diocese connects parishes, schools, clergy, religious communities, and ministries, and provides information about worship, events, news, and diocesan leadership.

Its services and programs address spiritual formation, education, family life, and community support. Offerings include faith formation and youth activities, retreats, marriage preparation and enrichment, natural family planning, vocation discernment, and resources for becoming Catholic. The diocese also supports ministries for people facing infertility, pregnancy or parenting challenges, divorce, grief, and other life circumstances. Through Catholic Charities North Dakota, parish services, and initiatives such as the African Mission and Catholic Indian Mission, it serves communities and supports charitable work. Additional resources include Mass times, liturgical guidance, safe-environment training, victim assistance, and canonical services. The diocese also shares Catholic news and educational materials through Dakota Catholic Action, presentations, videos, and parish communications.
