Bison Producers AB

Bison Producers of Alberta (BPA) represents Alberta’s bison industry and supports producers through advocacy, information, and industry collaboration. Working with the Canadian Bison Association, BPA contributes to efforts involving bison research, producer profitability, on-farm food safety, processing concerns, and trade issues. The organization emphasizes that a united industry voice can help shape government policies, and membership supports initiatives and activities at both provincial and national levels. BPA membership includes membership in the Canadian Bison Association, and the organization invites producers to join or renew.

BPA also provides practical resources for members and the wider public, including membership and bison tag order forms, classified listings, and an online store. Its website offers consumer-focused information such as guidance on cooking bison, recipes, and where to buy it. The association shares news through its website and e-newsletter, and hosts events including the Wildrose Bison Convention, Show & Sale. Producers and consumers can contact BPA by phone or email for information about the Alberta bison industry and its activities.
