Bistro Karot

Bistro Karot is a vegetarian bistro and shop in the centre of Jindřichův Hradec, Czech Republic, at Masaryk Square 70/II. It serves a varied selection of hot and cold dishes in a calm, welcoming setting. Meals are prepared with fresh vegetables, herbs, legumes, quality olive oil, pasta and other ingredients, and are sold by weight so guests can choose what they would like on their plate. Many dishes are gluten-free or vegan, with options such as Indian dhal, chickpeas in tomato and coconut sauce, lasagne, lentil dishes and buckwheat spinach pancakes.

The menu also includes fresh vegetable salads, a daily soup, homemade sourdough bread, cakes and pies, often available in gluten-free versions. Guests can enjoy homemade syrup drinks, fresh fruit juice, young barley smoothies, tea and Pellini coffee. Sourdough bread is also available to take home.
