Bitcoin Scholars Fund is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding Bitcoin education for primary and secondary school students. Its mission is to prepare the next generation of developers, thinkers, and informed participants in a decentralized economy by connecting students and schools with scholarships, funding, and practical learning resources.
Through its partnership with Base58 and the Bitcoin at Work(shop) program, the Fund supports hands-on classroom education covering how Bitcoin works, sound money principles, wallet setup and transactions, and blockchain fundamentals. Students can also study Austrian economics and freedom technology. Participating schools can seek partnership support to integrate the curriculum, while eligible students will be able to apply for scholarships as the program develops.
The organization is preparing for a federal education tax credit expected to begin in tax year 2027. It says qualifying contributions may provide a dollar-for-dollar credit of up to $1,700 per taxpayer, or $3,400 for married couples filing jointly.
