About Bulgarian ITS Association
Bitsa is a Bulgarian ITS Association that aims to promote the development of the ITS sector in Bulgaria, with a focus on creating a more sustainable, safer, and efficient transportation system. As an expert association, Bitsa is part of the partner network of ITS Europe. Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) unite communication and IT technologies to make transportation systems safer, more efficient, and more sustainable by reducing their impact on the environment.
Bitsa's main mission is to contribute to the formulation of a national policy for the development and implementation of ITS systems, with the goal of enhancing road safety. ITS are the result of integrating information and communication technologies into transportation. The digital revolution has made it possible to collect data, process it, and transform it into valuable information.
Bitsa serves as a forum that brings together all stakeholders, putting technology in the service of intelligent mobility. The members of Bitsa's board of directors are experts with extensive experience in the ITS sector.
