Bitter Ex Bitters Company is a Chicago-based maker of handcrafted, small-batch bitters and syrups, founded by business partners Ryan Rezvani and Stephanie Andrews. The brand brings together classic and more unusual ingredients, including roots, herbs, spices, and fruits, to create botanical infusions designed to add character to drinks and food. Its bitters are offered in distinctive flavors such as spicy celery, tobacco, cedar and cloves, and hot pepper, alongside selections including aromatic, citrus, coffee, and sour cherry.
The product range also features simple syrups in flavors such as rosemary, sage, ginger, and vanilla. Customers can explore curated gift sets, including herbal and coffee or tea collections, as well as themed packs of bitters. Bitter Ex products are made for cocktails, but the company also suggests using them in baked goods, meals, and desserts, or as a digestive aid.
