Bitterroot Cavaliers

Bitterroot Cavaliers is a small, dedicated breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels based in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley. The family-run program focuses on health, temperament, and preserving the breed’s affectionate nature. Dogs live in the home rather than kennels, and puppies are handled daily and introduced to ordinary household sights, sounds, and routines to support early socialization.

The breeder health-tests its breeding dogs, including OFA heart, eye, and patella clearances and DNA testing for several inherited conditions. Puppies are introduced to crate and potty training, and may also experience litter box and doggy-door training. Each puppy goes home with health records, microchip details, an AKC registration application, training and care information, parent pedigrees, and health-clearance certificate numbers.

Bitterroot Cavaliers offers puppies for adoption and accepts reservations for future litters, with an application and contract process. Puppies are generally sold with limited AKC registration and a spay/neuter agreement. The breeder can meet families at an airport, provides boarding options, and offers ongoing guidance.
