מרכז מורשת יהדות בבל באור יהודה נוסד בשנת 1973 כמוסד ללא כוונת רווח במטרה לאסוף, לשמר, ולהנציח את מורשת יהדות בבל. למטרה זו מפעיל המרכז מכון מחקר, הוצאה לאור, ספריה וארכיונים. וכן את "מוזיאון יהדות בבל" שנפתח לציבור בשנת 1988, ומציג תערוכות קבועות ומתחלפות.
