About BF+DA
The Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator (BF+DA), established by Pratt Institute, is a pioneering initiative designed to empower fashion designers and innovators. Located in Brooklyn, this vibrant hub spans over 21,000 square feet and offers a comprehensive array of services, including small-run apparel production, knitting services with no minimum order requirements, and sustainable textile consulting. The BF+DA fosters a collaborative environment where fashion and industrial designers, along with technologists, can connect and grow their start-ups into thriving businesses while emphasizing local manufacturing and ethical supply chains.
In addition to production capabilities, the BF+DA provides its Venture Fellows and Members with valuable on-site business mentorship, access to digital fabrication, showroom space, and retail opportunities. The center also facilitates research on production and wearable technologies, aiming to redefine the fashion landscape.
