Bk Mentoring

BK Mentoring is a community-focused organization in Monroe, Louisiana, working to break negative cycles and support people facing poverty, limited education, abuse, injustice, intolerance, or a lack of care and support. Founded in May 2018 by Sammie Crawford, the organization grew from his desire to turn difficult experiences from his youth into positive opportunities for others. Its work began as the Bonekrusher Youth Program, using boxing and the discipline of the sport to help young people make constructive choices and build confidence.

BK Mentoring offers boxing fitness to encourage physical wellness, alongside efforts to promote education and empower the community. The organization partners with parents, introduces Bible study and prayer for youth, and provides families with 24/7 support. It also works as a community resource, identifying local challenges and providing solutions directly or through partnerships. Through mentoring and family support, BK Mentoring aims to help young people and their communities recognize their potential and work toward a better future.
