Brooklyn Uprising, known as BK UP, is a bouldering and climbing gym in DUMBO, Brooklyn, inspired by the outdoors and rooted in the local community. Its facility features more than 100 thoughtfully set boulders designed to develop strength, technique, and confidence. Visitors can also use squat racks, free weights, hangboards, a Tension Board 2, and dedicated training space. For recovery, the gym offers showers and a 12-person cedar sauna, while one-on-one and small-group coaching supports climbers working toward specific goals.

BK UP welcomes beginners and experienced climbers, with first-visit guidance, an orientation requirement, and a minimum age of 16. Its events and classes include introductory climbing clinics, yoga for climbers, setter office hours, rehabilitation sessions, and guided sauna recovery. Customers can choose a day pass, shareable five- or ten-visit pass, or weekly and monthly memberships, with options ranging from limited visits to unlimited access. Memberships include benefits such as discounts on merchandise and snacks and access to free or discounted programs.
