Black Owl Guitars

Black Owl Guitars is an independent guitar and bass lutherie workshop in Poitiers, France, led by Stéphane, a musician with more than 25 years of experience who discovered instrument making in 2020. The workshop provides maintenance and repair for electric and acoustic guitars and basses, from routine servicing and precise setup to damage repair and complete restoration. Work is intended to improve playability, tuning accuracy and sound while helping instruments last longer.

Black Owl Guitars also designs and builds custom-made guitars and basses for amateur and professional musicians. Customers can discuss the choice of woods, finishes and equipment to create an instrument suited to their playing style and preferences. For those interested in learning the craft, the workshop offers practical lutherie courses open to all levels. The Guitar Tech course covers setup, maintenance and repair, while instrument-making sessions give participants the opportunity to build a custom electric guitar or bass by hand. Through its services and workshops, Black Owl Guitars combines musical experience with a focus on attentive, personalized craftsmanship.
