About Black Canyon Trout
Black Canyon Trout Farm is a family-focused trout producer located near Grace, Idaho, in the scenic Black Canyon of the Bear River. Since 1977, the farm has raised certified disease-free Rainbow and Cutthroat trout, using cold, free-flowing spring water from deep aquifers. Its fish serve recreational fisheries across the western United States, from large reservoirs used by renowned fly-fishing clubs to small backyard ponds.
The farm can supply trout at a range of sizes, from young fish to trophy specimens, to suit the needs of different fisheries. Black Canyon Trout Farm also produces certified, disease-free eyed trout eggs in diploid, triploid, and all-female varieties. These eggs are intended for commercial meat producers and recreational hatcheries.
With production spanning the life cycle from eggs to mature fish, the farm offers stocking and delivery services as well as live fish and eggs. Its work combines established trout-farming experience with products tailored to both commercial operations and recreational pond and fishery owners
