The Black Creative Trailblazers CIC is a dynamic organization committed to empowering and uplifting Black creatives throughout the United Kingdom. Acknowledging the significant underrepresentation of Black individuals in the UK's creative industries—where only 2% of workers are Black—this initiative aims to nurture and highlight the incredible talent within this community.
The organization provides essential tools, opportunities, and platforms, including workshops, mentoring sessions, and specialized training to foster growth in the creative sectors. Notably, they host an annual showcase during Black History Month, featuring live performances, collaborative projects, and interactive installations, which bring visibility to the artistry of Black creatives while engaging both the public and industry leaders.
Founded by Adeola and Ronke Jane Adelakun, Black Creative Trailblazers also collaborates with the award-winning fashion brand Cultureville to promote modern African fashion and culturally enriching events, ultimately celebrating and empowering the diverse expression of the Black community in all its forms.
