About The Village at Black Creek
Black Creek Pioneer Village, a department of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, offers a unique and immersive experience for visitors. Step into the past and explore an authentically re-created country village from the 1860s in the Toronto region. With 40 historic buildings, 70 rare and heritage breed animals, and 10 beautiful gardens, Black Creek Pioneer Village provides a glimpse into the rich history of the area.
Visitors can engage with costumed educators who demonstrate trades and crafts from the 1860s, enjoy toe-tapping music of the era, and participate in hands-on activities throughout the village. The village also features a collection of 50,000 artifacts and offers interactive offerings and monthly events. Black Creek Pioneer Village encourages visitors to explore the past while reflecting on the present.
