About Black Girls Code
Black Girls CODE is a brand that is revolutionizing the tech industry by empowering Black girls worldwide. With a mission to provide access to engaging computer programming education, they spark interest in technology, unlock potential, and strive for more equitable communities. Through their culturally responsive curriculum, they create pathways for Black girls and girls of color to embrace computer programming as creators and innovators.
Their programs offer mentorship from women whom the girls can envision becoming, fostering a supportive community. One of their notable offerings is summer camps, where girls aged 12-17 can learn computer science and coding principles alongside their peers. These two-week camps, held in cities like Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and New York, provide an immersive learning experience with a focus on mentorship and practical skills development.
Black Girls CODE also keeps their community informed through their latest news, sharing updates about events, chapters, and their impactful work. By donating, subscribing, or joining their community, individuals can contribute to the future of technology for Black girls. Together, we can create a more diverse and inclusive tech industry
