Black Mamas Matter Alliance is a powerful and inspiring brand that envisions a world where Black mamas are deserving of rights, respect, and resources throughout their pregnancy journey. Led by Black women, this cross-sectoral alliance advocates for Black maternal health, rights, and justice. They are at the forefront of driving research, building power, and shifting culture to improve the well-being of Black mamas.

As a national network, Black Mamas Matter Alliance brings together Black women-led and Black-led birth and reproductive justice organizations, as well as multi-disciplinary professionals. Their work encompasses the entire spectrum of maternal and reproductive health, aiming to effect policy change, cultivate research, advance care for Black mamas, and transform societal attitudes. In addition to their ongoing initiatives, Black Mamas Matter Alliance hosts the bi-annual Black Maternal Health Conference and Training Institute.

This premier assembly convenes Black women, clinicians, professionals, advocates, and stakeholders to discuss and improve maternal, sexual, and reproductive health, using frameworks rooted in birth justice, reproductive justice, and human rights. Black Mamas Matter Alliance is dedicated to recognizing, amplifying, and supporting the work of locally based, black women-led maternal health initiatives and organizations. By doing so, they honor the historical contributions and leadership of Black women within their communities.
