The Coalition of Black Men Physicians is an organization focused on increasing the number of Black men in medicine and cultivating the next generation of Black men physicians. Its work centers on fellowship, scholarships, and mentorship, helping members and students build connections and receive support during their medical journeys. The organization’s scholarship program has supported medical students, with recipients describing the value of financial assistance, networking, and mentorship. Its members also highlight the importance of representation in patient care and the impact of seeing a Black physician.
The Coalition offers ways to get involved through events, a job board, and opportunities to start a chapter. Its website also features a blog, a shop, a gallery, and information about scholarships. Supporters can contribute through donations, while visitors can subscribe to the newsletter for updates. Through these programs and resources, the Coalition brings together a community committed to supporting Black men pursuing and practicing medicine.
