Black Quantum Futurism (BQF) is an innovative collective that merges concepts of futurism with Black cultural traditions to explore the intersections of space, time, and consciousness. Founded by artists Camae Ayewa and Rasheedah Phillips, BQF employs a multidisciplinary approach that includes writing, music, film, visual arts, and community-based projects. The collective seeks to manipulate space-time perceptions to envision and create desired futures, examining how past, present, and future influence our identities.

BQF is well-known for its range of activities, including workshops, performances, exhibitions, and the production of zines and anthologies focused on transformative narratives and healing methods. Notable projects like the Black Womxn Time Camp and the time-based installation Black Bodies as Conductors of Gravity demonstrate their commitment to recovery and preservation of communal memories. Collaborating with other creatives, BQF aims to build a new spatio-temporal consciousness, promoting healing and empowerment within marginalized communities.
