Black River Farm and Ranch is a family-owned and operated summer camp in Michigan’s Thumb region, near Croswell and a short drive from Detroit. For more than 50 years, it has welcomed girls seeking an active camp experience centered on horses, friendship, and outdoor fun. The ranch offers riding lessons, trail rides, and vaulting, with campers able to choose from more than 70 horses and take a 90-minute riding lesson each day.
Activities also include swimming, arts and crafts, boating, archery, and more, providing a varied program alongside equestrian experiences. The camp describes its setting as a safe, relaxed place where girls can enjoy time with friends and horses. Families can explore summer camp programs, session dates, tuition and discounts, riding information, daily schedules, and preparation forms through the website, and register online.
Black River Farm and Ranch also hosts events and retreats, including an Alumni Weekend, and shares camp news, newsletters, photos, and updates for parents
