BLACK SAMURAI 2026 is a basketball project led by NBA player Rui Hachimura, created to share the experience and mindset he has developed on the global stage and support the growth of basketball in Japan. Hachimura, from Toyama Prefecture, became the first Japanese player selected in the first round of the NBA Draft in 2019. After playing for the Washington Wizards, he joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023 and represented Japan at the Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024 Olympics.

The project brings together events, learning opportunities and fan experiences. Its 2026 program includes a basketball camp in Kobe for middle and high school students, a showcase, the BLACK SAMURAI Summit and Game Day in Nagoya, and a homecoming event and night festival in Toyama. The camp gives young players the opportunity to learn directly from Hachimura and basketball professionals Phil Handy and Tommy Lloyd. Visitors can purchase event tickets and official merchandise, including venue-exclusive towels. The brand also offers downloadable wallpapers and shares news, videos and information about Hachimura.
