Black Shack Recordings is a vintage recording studio located in Calw, Germany. Our studio, situated in a residential building from 1870, offers a unique and carefully curated selection of high-end equipment to deliver sounds that you've never thought of before. Our recording room, measuring about 24 m2, is designed with a natural acoustic reminiscent of iconic studios from the 1950s.

Musicians love recording here without headphones, as it feels more natural and allows for a spot-on vintage sound. Our control room, measuring about 20m2, features a vintage Studer 269 console and Klein+Hummel speakers for monitoring. We also offer accommodation for up to 6 persons in a small band flat next to the studio, ensuring that your recording experience is enjoyable and relaxed.
