About bladecultureusa.com
Blade Culture International (BCI) is a heritage blade-making company rooted in more than two generations of Filipino craftsmanship. Its history traces through G.Q. Cutlery, founded in 1970, and the earlier Vaciacraft tradition. Working with artisans and blacksmiths in the Philippines and drawing on international metalworking expertise, BCI makes handcrafted blades that celebrate the weapon-making traditions of cultures around the world.
Its range includes Filipino historical weapons from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao; Japanese katana and other blades; medieval swords; tactical, utility, and survival knives; training weapons; protective gear; and other cultural blades. The company also offers custom and limited-edition designs, including made-to-order traditional replicas, novelties, and gift pieces. BCI describes its products as handmade from carbon steel, commonly 5160 or blended steels, with tempering selected to suit each blade’s intended use. Handles, fittings, and sheaths may incorporate materials such as kamagong wood, mahogany, brass, and aluminum alloy. BCI operates in the Philippines and the United States and sells wholesale and retail, serving customers that include collectors, retailers, and enthusiasts.
