BladeStar develops specialized cleaning equipment for helicopter rotor blades, designed to help operators maintain performance and reduce unnecessary fuel consumption between maintenance intervals. Its patented devices clean both the upper and lower blade surfaces from the ground using a telescopic pole, improving work safety by eliminating the need for a platform or stepladder. A spring-loaded rotating joint presses dual sponge units, fitted with microfiber covers, against the blade to provide consistent cleaning across different blade geometries.

BladeStar offers two product lines. The Classic Line is intended for regular removal of soot and insect deposits. The Waterjet Line is designed for helicopters used in offshore conditions, using a telescopic pole with an integrated water hose and jets to remove salt crystals.

The company states that regular, efficient cleaning can help preserve blade paint and appearance while supporting consistent rotor performance. BladeStar also notes that Airbus Helicopters Germany tested the device with good results and considers its use safe when operating and safety instructions are followed
