blair3sat is an innovative, student-run cubesat team based at Montgomery Blair High School. Focused on advancing space technology and research, the team is developing a nanosatellite designed to measure the electron density of the ionosphere. This mission aims to map how radio frequency (RF) waves are influenced by ionospheric conditions, which play a crucial role in long-distance communications, including over-the-horizon radars. Founded in December 2017, blair3sat has made significant strides, including the completion of first-generation CAD designs and participation in reputable conferences.
