The automobile company unveiled a new brand identity.

“Our new identity is an elegant symbol of progress as we move our customers physically in daring, forward-looking vehicles that challenge traditional industry rules, and emotionally by ensuring their entire experience – particularly going electric – is more affordable, comfortable and enjoyable,” says CEO Vincent Cobée about the change in a press release. “Our legacy of inspiring consumers with daring and revolutionary vehicles is energising us to adopt a different, more inclusive approach to future family mobility.”

A French automobile company, Citroën was founded in 1919 by André Citroën and is headquartered in Poissy, France. The brand was acquired by Peugeot in 1976 to be part of the PSA Group (Peugeot S.A.) and was then owned by Stellantis in 2021. The company manufactures a range of automobiles, from electronic to luxury to commercial vehicles. Citroën serves their automobiles worldwide.

The automobile company has made many achievements and advancements within the automobile industry ever since its formation in the 1910s. In 1947, Citroën created the Traction Avant, the world's first mass-produced vehicle to have a chassis or vehicle frame, four-wheel independent suspension, and front-wheel drive. In 1967, they introduced swiveling headlights in some of their models, allowing vehicles to have greater visibility.

Citroën has also branched out into the luxury car and racing industry and introduced DS in 2009 as their luxury car brand. The brand also joins in racing competitions under Citroën Racing, previously called Citroën Sport. The team has joined and won the World Touring Car Championship as well as the World Rally Championship.
