Bloodstock Open Air, known as B-O-A, is the UK’s largest independent heavy metal festival, bringing fans together for four days of live music at Walton on Trent in Derbyshire. Created “by the fans, for the fans,” the festival is known for showcasing a strong lineup of rock and metal performers. Its programme features more than 120 international acts across four stages, including the Ronnie James Dio, Sophie Lancaster and New Blood stages.
Beyond the music, Bloodstock offers a large international metal market, late-night entertainment in the Sophie Lancaster Tent, fairground rides and a festival bar serving real ale. Fans can also meet performers at the signing tent. Weekend camping is available, with a VIP option at Serpents Lair that includes camping and access to a hospitality backstage bar offering more than 100 real ales. Bloodstock also supports emerging artists through initiatives such as Metal 2 the Masses and Unsigned Masses.
