BloomShield CIC

BloomShield CIC is a UK-based Community Interest Company working to make cancer prevention more equitable. It brings together communities, health systems, researchers, charities and innovators to address barriers to cancer information, screening and timely support. Its approach combines community insight, implementation science and evidence-informed partnerships, with a focus on practical programmes that can be adapted to real-world settings.

BloomShield’s flagship ScreenSmart Communities™ programme supports cancer awareness, informed choice and access to screening through trusted local relationships, co-design, community messengers and service navigation. ScreenAccess™ helps address practical, social, organisational and geographical barriers to screening participation, while ScreenConnect™ focuses on patient navigation and care coordination from screening through treatment and follow-up. The organisation also offers consultancy and advisory services, research and evaluation, and partnership opportunities across communities and health systems. Its work includes responsible exploration of digital health and AI, with attention to equity, safety and human connection. BloomShield aims to help partners design, deliver and learn from prevention initiatives using transparent, programme-specific measures of reach, experience and system change.
