About Blue Marble
Blue Marble Navigator is a web-based application that features a display of a section of the 86400×43200 Blue Marble pictures derived from imagery taken by NASA in 2004. The application allows users to view a default section of 720×600 pixels, which can be resized using the provided buttons. Additionally, users can click near the edge of the picture to change the focus, or on the center to zoom in and out.
There is also a clickable world map that always shows the current area being viewed. Users can choose the month for the displayed picture and compare different images, including night-time pictures from 1992 and 2002. The application also provides options for displaying national borders, towns, geonames, and more.
Blue Marble Navigator is a valuable tool for exploring and comparing images of the Earth, with a wealth of information and options to enhance the user experience
