The Ennis Bluebonnet Run is an annual community race held during the Ennis Bluebonnet Festival in Ennis, Texas, the state’s Official Bluebonnet City. Scheduled for April 17, 2027, the event welcomes competitive runners, families, and participants who prefer to run, jog, or walk. Its scenic routes pass Kachina Prairie, Lake Clark Park and Dam, and lakeside and tree-covered trails, showcasing the area during bluebonnet season.

Race options include chip-timed 5K and 10K events, a timed Kids 5K for runners 13 and under, an untimed 5K Fun Run/Walk, and a virtual race. Competitive races feature age-group and overall awards; participants can also receive event merchandise and finisher medals, with details varying by division. The courses combine paved sections with natural surfaces, including grass and trails.

The run’s mission is to support local education through CROME, helping Ellis County students access scholarships, mentorship, and career pathways in college, trades, and future careers. Organizers report awarding more than 30 scholarships and raising over $40,000 for education through the most recent race.
