About Blue Canoe Theatrical Productions Inc. | Kingston ON
Blue Canoe Productions is a nonprofit, community theatre and youth-led organization operating in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Established in 2006 by former students of RND High School and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2011, Blue Canoe's mission is to create opportunities for individuals under the age of 30 to gain experience in the performing arts. With a focus on creating a professional, safe, fun, and engaging atmosphere, Blue Canoe brings together young talent from the Kingston community to work collaboratively on theatrical productions.
In addition to their theatre productions, Blue Canoe also offers education programs to further engage the youth of Kingston. This includes mentorship projects with professional theatre artists and a selection of programming that provides equal opportunities for youth across age brackets, with a particular emphasis on musical theatre.
Blue Canoe Productions is an active member of Theatre Ontario and The Kingston Theatre Alliance, and can be found at their residency at the Grand Theatre.
