Bluechain

Bluechain Research Cooperative is a worker-led European social cooperative that designs and builds blockchain technology for public and social value. Its team brings together programmers, economists, legal researchers, and domain experts to create technically robust systems suited to real-world institutions. Bluechain specializes in Ethereum-native engineering, including smart contracts, decentralized applications, backend systems, and blockchain infrastructure, supporting projects from prototype through production.

The cooperative works with organizations in energy, finance, research, governance, and digital transformation. Its projects include an Ethereum-based platform for DESFA’s bilateral liquefied natural gas transactions, built using Bluechain’s AURORA-AMM technology. The organization also coordinates national and European innovation projects, manages a funded portfolio valued at €6.34 million, and provides technology auditing expertise for crypto-asset service provider applicants in work with the Hellenic Capital Market Commission.

Bluechain promotes open-source development and shared participation. Through The House of Ether, an initiative directly supported by the Ethereum Foundation, it offers workshops and practical learning for aspiring developers, technology workers, and students. It also contributes to European education and social economy projects.
