Blue Crab Festival

The World Famous Blue Crab Festival in Little River, SC started as a small waterfront gathering in 1981 and has now become a premier event that attracts visitors from all over. The festival's main goal is to support the local restaurants, businesses, accommodations, and the entire community. What began with just a few vendors has grown to include live music, entertainment, a wide variety of local seafood specialties, and unique artists and crafters.

As one of the longest running street festivals in the Southeast, families now plan their vacations around this event. Over the years, the festival has also hosted beauty pageants, a 5K run, a car show, and more to expand its audience and create a fun family atmosphere. The festival's success has contributed to the growth of Little River itself.

This event is made possible by the dedicated efforts of the Little River Chamber representatives, business owners, and event specialists who work hard to ensure its success. Although not intended to be profitable, any profits generated are reinvested back into the Little River community. The World Famous Blue Crab Festival is a cherished tradition that brings the community together and showcases the pride and success of Little River.
