About Blue Earth Organization
Blue Earth Organization is a youth-led environmental organization based in Mombasa. We were formed in response to the alarming impact of climate change, plastic and air pollution, and the destruction of wild places in our home. Our mission is to bridge the gap between youth and the environment.
Since our establishment in March 2020, we have grown into an impactful organization that prioritizes indigenous communities and young people. Located in a coastal region, we face specific challenges such as rising sea levels, bleached corals affecting fishing communities, and plastic pollution harming our oceans. Our work is aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on eradicating poverty, ensuring clean water and sanitation, building sustainable cities and communities, taking climate action, protecting marine life, and fostering partnerships.
